Laree is out of the hospital and now staying at the home of Emily and Brandon Fricke – not far from her home. Chloe has been staying with Brandon and Emily too as Pat is in Alaska right now earning money fishing as he does twice a year. Laree could have gone to another skilled nursing facility but felt she would do better at home since the skilled nursing facility only offered 1 hour a day of rehabilitation.
Laree is continually getting better and actually made a lot of improvement this last month so we are all excited and hopeful for her full recovery even though it can’t go quickly enough for her. She is able to move her upper body and has pretty good movement from the waist up but is still waiting for her finger dexterity to return. Laree is not walking on her own yet but can stand with the assistance of leg braces and someone standing by her side to give assistance if needed.
This is the update for now. We are not out of the woods yet—but Laree is finally out of the hospital!
